| In the Fushigi Yuugi's universe , the sky is divided up into four quadrants - north, south, east, west - and each of these quadrants have seven constellations (seishi) dedicated to them. In the south is the Konan Country, which is protected by the god Suzaku , the red peacock . Its seven seishi are Chichiri, Tamahome , Nuriko, Hotohori, Chiriko, Tasuki, and Mitsukake.
